Hip-hop dancing is an exciting unique style of street dance. It has a vibrant form that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a cultural piece of art. Through its three main styles of popping, locking, and breaking, hip-hop dance has evolved into one of the most popular and influential styles of dance.

"Traditional majorette dancing takes place in front of or alongside a marching band, and involves mainly baton twirling and clean, crisp jazz technique. You often see this form of majorettes alongside cheerleaders at high school and college sporting events. But recently and in areas with a high concentration of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), majorettes take on a whole different form which can include baton twirling, but also incorporate a wider variety of dance styles, from West African, hip hop, step, bucking, and jazz. 

In connection with majorette dancing, Band Stands are a form of dance where the dancer(s) (majorettes) perform their skills to percussions and horns.
